Getting from Hong Kong to Macau

By Sea – from central Hong Kong

The best and most convenient way to get to Macau from Hong Kong is by Ferry
New World First Ferry operates ferries from China Ferry Terminal on Canton Road in
Tsim Sha Tsui which is walking distance from Hotel Royal Pacific. The trip takes
between 65 and 75 minutes. The ferry makes 25 trips on weekdays with departures
every half hour (from 7 am to 8.30 from Macau and from 7 am to 9 pm from Hong
Kong). On weekends, the ferry makes 33 daily trips from 7 am to midnight.

By Sea – from Hong Kong Airport

Cross Boundary Passenger Ferry Terminal

Kong International Airport (HKIA), Shenzhen and Macau. Travelers can transit
without the need to go through Hong Kong Customs and Immigration formalities

Porto Do Cerco
Porto Do Cerco:
Built in 1870, this imposing gateway marks the border between
Macau and Mainland China. Its Portuguese name, "Porta do
Cerco" which translates to "Gate of Siege", hints at the friction that
has historically surrounded this border crossing.

Ruins of Sau Paulo: Ruins of Sao Paula

Building began in 1602 and it took 25 years to complete. It was
designed by an Italian and built largely by the Japanese. In 1835 a
fire swept through the complex destroying everything except the
front stone faced facade. It has been built 3 times, and each time
has met with tragedy, twice with fire and once with a typhoon. Each
time the front face has remained.
Penha Hill Church
Penha Hill Church :
Built on top Colina da Penha or Penha Hill, is a Chapel of Our Lady
of Penha which was first built in 1622. The first chapel was erected
by the crew and passengers of a ship which had a narrow escape
from the Dutch. Later the chapel served as shrine for sailors
embarking on often hazardous voyages.
