What is impressionism?
 19th-century art movement that
began as a loose association of Paris-
based artists exhibiting their art
publicly in the 1860s.

 Thename of the movement is derived


from the title of a Claude Monet work,

Technique
 They applied color in looser, more distinct brush
strokes rather than blending it into even shades and
