HOW does Churchill
became a HERO?
Churchill's speeches during the war were of the
biggest indicator that shows what he was
against. His style of leadership & his personal
qualities which make him stand proud as a
leader. Winston Churchill is a hero because of
his strong refusal to give up in the fight against
Nazism, especially at a time when many other
leaders have given up.
Important
speech of
Churchill
What General Weygand called the Battle of
France is over. I expect that the Battle of
Britain is about to begin...

This speech was given when France surrender and

Churchill have to explain the dreadful situation
while convincing people to continue fighting with
Nazi.
You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word: Victory.
Victory at all costsVictory in spite of all terrorVictory,
however long and hard the road may be, for without victory
there is no survival.

Churchills first speech as Prime Minister, he told

Parliament he was putting politics aside and forming a
national government which included all parties to
wage war against Germany.
We shall go on to the end. We shall fight in France, we shall
fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing
confidence and growing strength in the air...

Though there was national euphoria and relief at the

unexpected deliverance at Dunkirk, the peril facing
Britain was now universally perceived. But Churchill
told the world that Britain would stand firm.
