comprehensive planning tool.

As an integrated part of SAP's human resources product,


the
module allows a company to :

personnel scenarios.

enables you to create:
Current valid Organizational Plan
Additional Organizational Plans in other Plan
Versions as planning scenarios, and so on.

Using the flexible tools provided we can create and


maintain a model of the organizational structure.

Using the graphical and reporting facilities, we can reflect


and analyze changes to the model.

Organizational Management defines the organizational


structure
Organizational Management contains of the building blocks
of the organizational structure and the relationships
between them
The building blocks along with the relationships among
them form the organizational structure

Ex: Company Affairs reports to CEO and CEO is the supervisor


of Company Affairs.
Here, CEO and Company Affairs are organizational objects and
reports to and supervisor are relationships

structural and human resource environment at your firm -
in the past, in the present, and in the future.

Organizational Unit (O)

Organizational units are one of the objects that make up an


organizational plan.

Organizational units represent any type of organizational entity,


designated to perform a specified set of functions within a company.

It is by creating organizational units, and then identifying the


relationships between the units, that you identify the organizational
structure at your firm.

You may create as many organizational units for a plan

Ex : Subsidiaries, divisions, departments, groups, or special project


teams could all be represented by organizational units.

A job is a general classification, such as Secretary,


Computer Programmer, Instructor, and so on.

You may create as many jobs for an organizational plan as


you wish.

Once a job is created, you describe all of its attributes by


defining infotypes .

Positions (S)

Positions are the individual employee assignments within a


company.
Ex : Sales Manager, Secretary for Marketing, Junior Engineer
for Manufacturing, and so on.
It is by creating positions, and then creating relationships
among the different positions, that you identify the
reporting structure at your firm.
We may create as many positions for a plan as we wish.
Positions are normally created by using jobs as a basis.
Positions and jobs share characteristics, and so it makes
sense to create positions by copying a job.
