FOCUS AREA
Faculty Leadership and
Positive Focus
1We have seen a number of the PAY IT FORWARD cards that have
been passed through several hands already. Keep sharing those
and supporting each other.
2Thank you to the Leadership Team for the hard work and effort you
have put into our GLISI training.
3Dont forget to give students Indian Tokens when they exemplify
our PRIDE MODEL. Students will be able to use tokens at the
Spring Fling for different things.
4We have a total of 296 faculty absences so far. Remember that
our goal is to keep this number below 400. THANK YOU to
everyone who comes to school even when you dont feel well and to
those who are conscientious about the importance of teacher
attendance for our students.
FOCUS AREA
Student Attendance
1We continue to refer students to ARC and MCRC
meetings/hearings. Please keep talking to students about
their absences and holding them accountable for
deadlines on missed worked.
2Remind students that good attendance is one of the 3
criteria for SPRING FLING!
3TARDIES: Remind students that 5 unexcused tardies to a
class period counts as an absence toward exemptions and
9 unexcused tardies results in one day of ISS. Please
continue to monitor the halls between classes and assist
with getting students to class on time.

IMPROVE LITERACY
1We have observed some great activities
where Lexiles have been used to group
students and differentiate text
complexity.
2Thank you, Mrs. Ingle-Rector for the push
from the Media Center for our MURRAY

YOUR EFFORTS ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE!

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

FOCUS AREA
INCREASE RIGOR
Despite all the research and training, there are seven myths about rigor
that are often heard:
1. Lots of homework is a sign of rigor.
2. Rigor means doing more.
3. Rigor is not for everyone.
4. Providing support means lessening rigor.
5. Resources equal rigor.
6. Standards alone take care of rigor.
7. Rigor is just one more thing to do.
