Backup
Redundancy
Warm StandBy for Call Control Requirements in VMware:
These scenario can be achieved with the VMware HA features.
From OpenScape 4000 SW perspective it identical to a restart of the Server HW.

Warm StandBy for Call Control Requirements in VMware:

APE or survivable SoftGate Operating in a VMware environment is also feasible.

Hot StandBy Requirement for Call Control / Duplex Mode in VMware:

Its feasible to setup also a separated Duplex in VMware environment.
These OpenScape 4000 setup requires for each of the three 4k node (VMware locations) a own dedicated
independent storage (e.g. SAN). Analog to the direct attached storage (DAS) of the servers.
From OpenScape 4000 SW including the High Availability framework perspective this identical to run on a
COTS Server HW Platform. That means the same requirements on the IT network and locations has to be
fulfilled.
