Abstract
The objective of our research paper is to provide
solution for a major problems
i.e. air pollution and noise pollution which are
majorly caused by cars
and the traffic accidents which are caused due to
human/driver error by introducing Autonomous car
which is also known as self driving car/self driverless
car.
Further in our research paper we have investigate
the relationship between the Augmented Reality
and Virtual Reality and how it will be used for
implementing/controlling self-driving auto

Introduction
Now, I would like to provide introduction of
some terminologies user in our research
paper.
First of all,

What is Automata?
It is the plural of automaton, which means
something that works automatically

Introduction Virtual Reality
What is Virtual Reality?
It is an artificial environment created with computer hardware
and software and presented to the user in such a way that it
appears and feels like a real environment.
OR
In other words we can simply say that It is a computer-generated
environment where inhuman behave like they are in the real
world and temporarily forget that they are not in the real world.
It is used in various platforms with the purpose of providing
education and training to users e.g.
1. Flight training is a classic application of virtual reality, in which
users sit on cockpit with changing images displayed on giant
screens to give an impression of view the user see from plane.
2. VR is used in surgical training and drug design.

Introduction Virtual Reality
Some Applications of Virtual Reality are
1. Head Mounted Display
It is a set ofgoggles or a helmet with tiny monitors in front
of each eye that generates images seen by the wearer as
being three dimensional. It tracks what direction the user
is looking. E.g. Oculus Rift, Google Cardboard
Data glove
. This VR device is very useful to interact with objects in a
virtual world. It allows the user wearing the glove the
natural interaction with a simulated world. They use
trackers and some form of bending sensors on each
fingers.

Introduction Augmented Reality
Now, we will see that
What is Augmented Reality?
Augmented Reality connects and combines real life objects, places and
people around us to a variety of information and simulated computer
generated experiences
OR
In simple words we can say that Augmented reality links real and virtual
worlds
It is used in various platforms with the purpose of providing
entertainment and education to users e.g.
1. Augmented reality allows gamers to experience digital game play in a
real world environment. AR is the reason we enjoy Xbox Kinect or PS3
Move.
2. Augmented Reality can provide the surgeon with information, which are
otherwise hidden, such as showing the heartbeat rate, the blood
pressure, the state of the patients organ, etc.

Introduction Augmented Reality
Some Applications of Augmented Reality are
1. Head-Mounted Display
It enables the user to view superimposed graphics
and text created by the system.

2. Tracking and Orientation

It is aGPS enabled system that provides the
information of surroundings within limited range
to the user.

Virtual Reality And Augmented Reality
Differences And Similarities
Both virtual reality and augmented reality are
similar in the goal of engaging the user, though
both systems do this in different ways.
With AR, users continue to be in touch with the real
world while interacting with virtual objects around
them.
With VR, the user is isolated from the real world
while immersed in a world that is completely
fictional
Note: Augmented Reality is advance, expensive and
more successful technology as compared to Virtual
Reality.

INTRODUCTION AUTONOMOUS CAR
What do you mean by Autonomous Car?
The Driverless Car is like any car, but it possess
some more interesting properties i.e.
1. It can steer itself while looking out for
obstacles.
2. It can stop and go itself based on any traffic
condition.
3. It is a combination of different technologies
developed by Google that will allow a car to
drive itself even on the highway

VR Literature Review
In this article we have studied about virtual reality and
its use in different platforms/ fields. e.g.
Virtual reality is use in different fields like military,
education, health and sports.
It is particularly used for the training of soldiers for
combat or dangerous situations without the real
world risks. It is less costly.
It is use to present complex data in an easy way to
students which is both fun and easy to learn.
Healthcare is one of the biggest adopters of virtual
reality which includes surgery simulation, phobia
treatment, robotic surgery and skills training.

Google Car Literature Review
In this article we have studied about some facts relating to Google
Autonomous Car i.e.
Google cars have driven about 700,000 accident-free miles (1.1
million km) on motorways in 'autonomous mode that indicates its
efficiency and performance.
Driverless cars are restricted to 25mph (40 km/h) and the ability to
self-drive will depend on specifically designed Google road maps
The car will be powered by electricity and could go about 100 miles
(160 km) before charging.
Theses cars makes turns and react to other vehicles and
pedestrians based on computer programs that predict what others
might do with the help of sensors and cameras.
These cars work by using GPS technology to locate the vehicles
exact position on an electronic map.

Methodology
First of all we have studied about
We have studied the Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and
Google Autonomous Car on a comprehensive level.
What is Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality? What are the
differences and similarities among Virtual Reality and
Augmented Reality?
Then we have searched about Google Autonomous Car. What
are the pros and cons of autonomous car?
Afterwards we have searched deeply about the impacts of
Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality on Google Autonomous
Car.
What are the challenges and limitations of implementing
Autonomous Car? How Google Autonomous car impacts on
our society.

Impacts Of VR On Google Car
1. For the testing of autonomous , google first test it on
virtual world before they hit real roads.
2. They have built a digital simulation of the Californian
road system, and wants to test the performance of its
cars in this virtual world.
3. After the test of autonomous car in virtual reality world
,google claim that testing in a virtual world is actually
safer, as more eventualities can be accounted for.
. Impacts Of AR On Google Car
1. Using augmented reality technology during the
design stage of self drive allows us to be creative and
design concept models with minimum cost .

Methodology
1. AR show 3d Maps and GPS In Google Self Drive Car these
AR technology would also make driving safer and pretty
faster .
. Limitations
1. Self-driving car that couldnt drive itself in 99 percent of
the country . That knew nearly nothing about parking,
couldnt be taken out in snow or heavy rain, and would
drive straight over a gaping pothole .
2. The cars sensors cant tell if a road obstacle is a rock or a
crumpled piece of paper, so the car will try to drive around
either and cant detect potholes or spot an uncovered
manhole if it isnt coned off.
3. There will always be the worry of the computer crashing or
malfunctioning, resulting in a major collision.

Impact of Autonomous Car on Society
Autonomous car will reduce/prevent traffic
accidents that are mostly caused due to
human/driver error with the help of sensors,
cameras and radars used on it.
Autonomous Car will lead to less congestion
and smoother traffic flow.
Autonomous Car will be more fuel efficient
which indirectly leads to less air and noise
pollution.
Autonomous Car will likely to spur intense
changes to the economy also

Conclusion
In 21st century technology has made the huge difference in the
era, especially when VR and AR made influence to the tech world.
Subsequently, the only reason that make google self-car work it
sets out that it will going to have a more correctness/exactness.
Current work concentrates on the best way to utilize the Future
Auto Innovation that is Out Today.
In the future, automated system will help to avoid accidents and
reduce congestion.
The future vehicles will be capable of determining the best route
and warn each other about the conditions ahead.
The future vehicles will also be capable to work correctly in wet
and windy conditions.
Many companies and institutions working together in countless
projects in order to implement the intelligent vehicles and
transportation networks of the future
