Mental Illness is a condition that affects a person's
thinking, feeling or mood.
Mental illness affects a person's ability to relate to
others and function each day.
Physiologically, this can cause weight loss and eating
disorders.

Mental Illnesses Effect on the Brain
Mental illness is associated with changes in the brains
structure, chemistry, and the brains function.
The communication with the neurotransmitter in the
brain between the neuron malfunctions due to the low
levels of Serotonin.

Serotonin: A compound present in blood platelets and serum that


constricts the blood vessels and acts as a neurotransmitter.
