Team pelaksanaan transplantasi Liver

RSUP H. Adam Malik Medan
The Transplant Team

Transplantation is a complex, long-term process of which the

actual surgery is only one element. To address every aspect of the
many interrelated issues, a multidisciplinary team of experts
becomes involved at the earliest pre-operative evaluation and
remains involved throughout hospitalization and follow-up.
In addition to both medical and surgical specialists in the specific
transplant areas, the team includes carefully selected experts from
a wide range of areas:

Anesthesiology
Infectious Disease
Radiology
Psychiatry
Social Services
Pharmacy
Nursing
Physical Therapy

Financial Services
Pathology
A successful transplant is a team effort.

but teamwork and intelligence win championships.

Japanese proverb
COMMON GOAL = TEAM GOAL
Team members.

1. . people with different personalities and different skill sets, that

are able to come together and complement each other

or in contrast

2. . where ego, pride, and self interest

are competing with the goals of the team for dominance
The Team Leader
Carl Larson and Frank LaFasto conducted a three year study of over 7
diverse teams. By interviewing key members of each team, Larson &
LaFasto identified eight effective strategies a leader should employ to
enhance team building:

1. Establish clear and inspiring team goals

2. Maintain a results-oriented team structure
3. Assemble competent team members
4. Strive for unified commitment
5. Provide a collaborative climate
6. Encourage standards of excellence
7. Furnish external support and recognition
8. Apply principled leadership
Team development
Team development
Being a great team member can aid the team process as
much as a good team leader. Here are some of the elements
that make a great team member :

commitment to the team above themselves.

positive contribution to the team process and goals.
enthusiasm, energy, inspiration and sufficient expertise.
willingness to take responsibility for elements of the
team's work.
delivering on commitments
PS: remember the size of the brain of a bird
Team Leadership

Team leadership differs from traditional top-down leadership in the

following ways (Bradford, 1976, as adapted by Yukl, 1989):

1. Responsibility for group effectiveness is not on the leader's

shoulders but is shared by the group.
2. Control over the final decision is not held by the leader but is best
left to the group.
3. The importance of one's position and power are de-emphasized in
team leadership.
4. The leader perceives the group not as a set of individuals but as
an "interacting and collective team."
5. The task-oriented functions of the team are not
performed only by the leader but are shared by the
entire group through its new roles.
6. Group maintenance functions are not performed
systematically but are emphasized and shared by the
group as a whole.
7. Socioemotional processes and interactions, while mostly
ignored by leaders in top-down settings, are observed
closely by team leaders.
8. Expressions of members' needs and feelings are not
discouraged but are encouraged by team leaders and are
dealt with openly in meetings.
"Leaders don't create followers, they create more leaders."
Tom Peters
When Roberto Goizueta took over as CEO of Coca-Cola in
the 1980s, he was faced with intense competition from Pepsi
that was eating into Coke's growth. His executives were
Pepsi-focused and intent on increasing market share 0.1 per
cent a time.

Roberto decided to stop competing against Pepsi and instead

compete against the situation of 0.1 per cent growth.
He asked his executives what was the average fluid intake of
an American per day? The answer was 14 ounces. What was
Coke's share of that? Two ounces. Roberto said Coke needed
a larger share of that market. The competition wasn't Pepsi. It
was the water, tea, coffee, milk and fruit juices that went into
the remaining 12 ounces. The public should reach for a Coke
whenever they felt like drinking something.

To this end, Coke put up vending machines at every street

corner. Sales took a quantum jump and Pepsi has never quite
caught up since.
Ayo kita bangun tim yang tangguh!!!
Marmut berlalri dengan cepat. Melihat
kura kura masih jauh tertinggal,
marmut mencoba bersitirahat sebelum
melanjutkan lomba

Duh kasihan,
walau saya tidur
sejenak dia tidak
bisa mendahului
saya!
Dia duduk dibawah pohon dan tertidur
Kura kura berjalan terus dan
akhirnya tiba lebih dahulu dan
menang.
Marmut terbangun dan sadar bahwa dia
sudah kalah
Moral cerita ini adalah: Perlahan dan sabar
akan memenangi lomba

Ini versi cerita yg dapat diambil

Cerita berlanjut
Marmut kecewa dan
melakukan introspeksi diri. Mengapa
Dia menyadari kekalahan saya
karena terlalu percaya diri, kalah?
tidak hati2 dan anggap
enteng.
Sesungguhnya dia tidak
bisa kalah
Lalu ndia mengajak
bertanding lagi dan kura
kura setuju Ok.

Kita berlomba
lagi?
Kali ini marmut berlari dan
beberapa kali menang terus

Cerita belum berakhir disini
Kura kura kali ini berfikir, dan
menyadari bahwa dia tidak pernah
akan menang dengan cara
Bagaimana
perlombaan ini.! saya dapat
mengalahkan
marmut?
Dia berfikir sejenak
dan menantang
marmut untuk
berlomba lagi, tetapi Maukah kita berlomba
Marmut setuju.

Baik!
Mereka memulai lomba. Marmut
dengan konsosten berlalu cepat
sampai ia tiba di tepi sungai.
Garis finish masih beberapa km
lagi diseberang.
Gol

Cerita belum selesai
Marmut dan kura kura kali ini
menjadi berteman dan mereka
berfikir bersama.
Keduanya menyadari bahwa
lomba terakhir lebih bagus dari
sebelumnya.
Lalu mereka memutuskan
utk lomba lagi tetapi kali Baik, tapi kita akan
ini sebagai tim. melakukannya dengan
kerjasama?

Hallo
Hi, buddy.
temanHowbagaimana
about doing
Kalau kita berlomba
our last
race again?
lagi?
Mereka mulai, kali ini marmut
menggendong kura kura sampai
ketepi sungai
Selanjutnya kura kura membawa
marmut menyeberang sungai
Di seberang marmut kembali
menggendong kura kura dan
mencapai finish bersama.
Keduanya merasa puas daripada
lomba sebelumnya.

kompetensi utamanya, tetapi tanpa bekerjasama

Kadang kala kita perlu merubah
strategi dan mencoba sesuatu yang berbeda. Kadang pula kita
lakukan keduanya

Marmut dan kura kura mendapat pelajaran lain.

Bila kita berhenti berkompetisi, dan sebaliknya berkompetisi
dengan situasi, kinerja kita akan lebih baik.

Kesimpulan cerita: pelajaran yg kita peroleh:
Jangan menyerah bila menemui kegagalan.
Cepat dan koonsisten akan mengalahkan yang
lambat dan stedi
Bekerjalah sesuai kompetensi
Berkompetisilah dengan situasi bukan
terhadap rival.
Mengumpulkan sumber daya dan bekerja
sebagai tim akan mengalahkan pelaku
individual.
Ayo kita bangun tim yang tangguh!!!
