FIRE SAFETY

PREVENTION AND PROTECTION

What is Fire?
Fire is one of the leading causes of Accidental
death.
Fire is the heat or burning that destroy things,
lives or properties.
Fire is a great warmth feeling towards the
opposite sex, it is excitement
Fire is a result from fast chemical reaction
between a combustible substance and oxygen,
accompanied by generation of heat

Deluge System employs water spay nozzle
attached to a piping system installed in the Belt
Conveyor Areas
In a Deluge Water Spray System, one event
caused by a fire condition, must occur:
Operation of a Fire Detection device( Linear Heat
Detector, Fixed Temperature Heat Detector or Pull
Station)
The solenoid valve actuator must be energize by
releasing panel upon the operation of the fire
detection device

NOVEC 1230 Clean Agent Fire
Suppression System
NOVEC 1230 fluid is a low global warming potential Halon
replacement for use as a gaseous fire suppression agent
It is generally used in situation where water from a fire sprinkler
would damage expensive equipment or where water-based fire
protection is impractical.
NOVEC 1230 is a colorless, non-toxic gas perfectly suited to protect
high vale assets in the area that may be normally occupied, in
locations where clean-up of other agents is problematic, when
storage space for a fire suppression agent is restricted, or when an
electrically non-conductive agent is required
NOVEC 1230 is clean, leaves no residue, thereby eliminate costly
after-fire clean-up, and keeping expensive down-time to minimum

What to do During FIRE ALARM
On Hearing the alarm
1. All personnel shall cease work, be alert,
and scout around for any visible sign of FIRE
2. Have the Fire Extinguisher accessible
and readily use
3. At the protected area, the Authorized
Personnel shall check whether there is a FIRE or
FALSE ALARM
What to do ON FIRE
When the Fire becomes uncontrollable, the
Authorized Personnel must:
Have the Fire Extinguisher ready for protection
Ensure all personnel has safely vacated the area
upon his/her leaving shall close all doors behind
Pull down the manual release station to by pass
automatic detection operation
