Problem Statement

To simulate Turbulent Aerofoil flow using Ansys Fluent.

The input parameters:
Airfoil chord length = 1 m
Freestream velocity = 51.45 m/s
Density = 1.1767 kg/m3
Coefficient of viscosity = 1.00910-9 kg/m-s

Meshing

Following are some points regarding meshing:

No. of nodes = 67412
No. of elements = 33519
Sphere of influence is used to mesh near geometry.
Near edges of geometry inflation is used.
Orthogonal Quality of mesh.
Aspect ratio of mesh.

Numerical Solution

Firstly 1000 iteration was given for residual =0.001 , and

solution got converged at 235 iteration.
