REMEDIAL TEACHING FOR LATE

BLOOMERS

ENGLISH
LATE BLOOMERS
Every child is special. As every child has a soul,
there is every possibility of improvement,
sooner or later.

The goal of the soul is to develop. The source of

energy is lying within them but the only thing is
to stretch the hand of confidence towards them
which will solve their problems and improve
their quality.
Definition:
Late bloomers are students
with below average
cognitive abilities who are
not disabled or differently
abled, but who struggle to
cope with academic
demands in the regular class
room.

LISTENING SKILL
Listening is the language modality that is used most frequently.
It has been estimated that students may receive as much as
90% of their in-school information through listening to
instructors and to one another.
Language learning depends on listening. Listening provides the
aural input that serves as the basis for language acquisition
and enables learners to interact in spoken communication.
TEACHING POEM
Late bloomers are interested in actions and
miming activities. Repetition and visual aids
help them to understand the meaning of the
poem and thereby to enjoy the poem or song.

When children "act out" a good poem, they

learn to love its rhyme, rhythm, and the
pictures it paints with a few well-chosen words.
They grow as readers by connecting feelings
with the written word.

SPEAKING SKILL

Students usually find role playing

enjoyable. Discussions, role plays,
dramatization and story narration succeed
when the instructor prepares students
first, and then gets out of the way.

Through well-prepared role plays and discussions,

we can encourage late bloomers to experiment and
innovate with the language, and create a
supportive atmosphere that allows them to make
mistakes without fear of embarrassment.

READING SKILL

What is Reading?
Reading is an interactive process that
goes on between the reader and the
text, resulting in comprehension.

The text presents letters, words,

sentences, and paragraphs that encode
meaning. The reader uses knowledge,
skills, and strategies to determine what
that meaning is.
