Background Development
D375A-6R is introduced to the market with significantly improved
performance.
Engine power increased by 10%. Field proven lockup torque converter
and automatic transmission that are controlled with state-of-the art
electronic control technology, new shape blade increasing hauling
capacity, easy-to-read multi-monitor, and CLSS providing superb work
equipment control. All of these features combined making the D375A-6R
the best bulldozer in its class.
To drastically enhance the competitive edge of the D375A-5R against
the D10T, Komatsu is proudly introducing the D375A-6R with further
improved performance and product quality.

Aim of development (1/4)
Further improved productivity
With increased engine output of 455 kW (ISO9249), the machine is
equipped with the automatic transmission and automatic lockup torque
converter allowing for optimum gearshift control depending on work
conditions. Combining the new shape blade and high cutting performance
end bits, the machine realizes superior productivity (low fuel consumption
and large production).

Improved riding comfort


Like the current D375A-5R, well tuned cab damper mounts and 7-roller K-
bogie undercarriage provide both operator comfort and improved machine
operation.

Improved operator control
Like the current D375A-5R, Komatsu's proprietary PCCS (Palm
Command Control System) is the control function for gear shifting,
steering and forward/reverse directional change. The engine,
transmission and steering are all electronic control enabling enhancement
of machine operation.
CLSS (Closed-center Load Sensing System) is Komatsu's hydraulic
control system which is proven to enhance work equipment control.
The electronic control information is displayed on the newly designed
multi-function monitor, allowing the operator to read it easily.

Enhanced operator comfort
The D375A-6R is equipped with the quiet hydraulic driven steel fan, large
cab and high-capacity air conditioner providing the operator a large quiet
operating environment.

Enhanced reliability and durability


Track shoes and links assure high reliability and durability of the
undercarriage. The new multi-function monitor has troubleshooting
function of the machine and displays the machine conditions.
VHMS (Vehicle Health Monitoring System) (if equipped-optional) allows
for machine management for preventative maintenance.

Environmentally responsible
The radiator manufacturing process utilizes lead-free soldering, this
replaces the conventional radiator of brass-iron soldering with an
aluminum radiator. The hydraulic cylinders use lead-free bushings for
environmental friendliness.

Additional "3L" gear effective for leveling work
1. The speed range 3L also can be used in reverse. When operating the
objective is to reverse as quickly as possible in order to begin the next push.
When the ground conditions are rough and do no allow for reversing in R3,
then R3L allows for a speed faster than R2.
Again you have the fuel economy benefits of operating in 3rd speed and the
operator does not have to rely on the de-accelerator pedal or changing
speeds to control the machine.
2. When the work load on the machine allows for a speed faster than F2, but the
ground conditions are uneven or rough. Then F3L may be selected to
provide a slower and smoother ride for the operator and still have the fuel
economy benefits of operating in 3rd adjusting other controls to control the
machine.

Shoe slip control system (optional)
Shoe slip control system performs engine deceleration automatically while
ripping, eliminating the need for the operator to constantly control engine
power with the decelerator pedal. The shoe slip control system can be setting
in 5 stages according to the rock hardness using the rock bed selection mode.
Each control level has following feature. Select appropriate level according to
the type of rocks.

When the shoe slip control mode is selected, the gearshift mode is set to the manual gear
shift mode. The engine power setting of the working mode is active only while dozing.
While ripping, the engine power is selected according to the setting of the rock bed
selection mode.

Work equipment valves are positioned on the fender as one unit, instead of
