WMS1000 TURBINE

Eole Water
Eole Water is a French company that has develop a wind-power generator prototype
able to extract drinking water just through the air. It is situated in Sainte Tulle, in the
area of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence (France).
Technology of the company is based in an I+D solid equipment, a good financial back, a
high level efficiency of their products and a proven reliability. As Eole Water is in a
continuous expansion and incorporation of a new service, it offers specific knowledge
about the sector where we can find the energy of eolic turbines, thermodynamic and
mechanics.

In 2012, Eole Water set as a goal to revolutionize the sector and, potentially, to save
lives of millions of people that live under the threat of thirst and diseases transmitted
by water. While, Marc Parent has made what experts consider such a one of the most
relevant and great reach invention in decades.
WMS1000 TURBINE
"It is a relatively simple technology, based on the principles of physics that we have
known for thousands of years. First, we take advantage of wind energy to generate
electricity, and this utility for the propeller is a type of air conditioning system in
which the humidity of the air condenses and turns into water".
Marc Parent, inventor

Eole Water launched an eolic revolutionary system that extracts from air
approximately one thousand liters of drinking water daily in normal atmospheric
conditions. The system is totally autonomous and it is actuated for a conventional
wind turbine of thirty kW over a twenty-four-meter-high tower that supports winds
of one hundred eighty-kilometer per hour.

SYSTEM OF WATER EXTRACTION
PROCESS OF CONVERTION OF
WATER
The system is based in a thermodynamic effect that allows tearing
molecules of water contained in interstitial air spaces. This effect is
called interstitial condensation and it is provocated for an abrupt
descent of the temperature of air. In this way it is reached and passes
the dew point where the spongy air structure contracts and collapses
expelling water contained inside. To take advantage of this process in an
autonomous way, the eolic turbine actuates a cooling system similar to
the domestic air conditions where air circulated, being cooled until
obligate it to let humidity go contained inside
This process is exactly the same that occurs in the atmosphere
daily known as the water cycle. Turbine WMS1000 emulates
this natural process using energy obtained from wind to cool air
and literally to make it rain pure water inside.
TESTS IN THE WORLD
A prototype of this wind turbine was installed in Abu Dhabi in October 2012 and it
has been able to produce from five hundred to eight hundred liters of drinking water
daily from dry air of desert.

ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES
ADVANTAGES:
The advantage is this wind turbine it that technology used by the company that
builds it consists in existing machines, but connected to each other. Also,
installation is autonomous, what makes it especially usable for remote
communities, such as deserted zones and zone of natural disasters where there
is no electricity.
Definitely, the most important advantage is that it will allow to proportionate
one thousand liters of drinking water per day to one thousand two hundred
millions of people all over the world that doesnt have Access to drinking water
and to save lives of millions of people that live under threat of thirst and
diseases transmitted by water.
The water produced complies with the regulations of the World Health
Organization.
It doesnt contaminate the environment
It doesnt emit CO2

DISADVANTAGES:

COSTS

Marc Parent's project needed a great investment. That is why he was forced
to found "Eole Water" After filing his first patent applications in 2000 and
2005 in the office of P.I. Of France located in the National Institute of
Industrial Property (INPI) and when accepted, obtained support from
foreign companies who observed the great potential of this project. Among
the 32 industrial partners of the project are companies such as Danfoss,
Emerson, Siemens, Carel and Arcelor Mittal. Recognized worldwide. The
development of the WMS1000 wind turbine, initiated in May 2010,
required an investment of 2.1 million euros and the participation of almost
30 engineers, 23 of them external engineers.

UTEC Project , Peru

At kilometre 89.5 of the Panamericana Sur highway to the outskirts of Lima, Peru, a
proven advertising panel of drinking water to the neighbours of the area.
Researchers from the University of Engineering and Technology (UTEC) in Lima
collaborated with the advertising agency Mayo Peru DraftFCB to start up this
particular panel that generates clean water from the humidity of the air through a
filtration system.
The piece is composed internally of five machines that convert the humidity of the air
into water through the use of filters and a condenser. The water is stored in the tanks
located at the top of the structure and, once filtered, flows through a pipe to reach the
faucet, all that the world has access to. After the process, the water comes out clean
and drinkable.
The costs of the panel's interior system, given by Jessica Ruas, are around US $ 1,200
but "we must invest a long time to find alternatives and to achieve sustainable
solutions." For Streets, not only governments are responsible, but also private
companies and universities must contribute their grain of sand. In the three months
since it was first installed, the poster has produced more than 9,000 litres of water (96
litres per day) for residents of the community.
- FRESHWATER, Chile
The Chilean company "FRESHWATER" presented a machine that allows
converting the air into water imitating in its interior the process that is
done naturally in the clouds and ends with rain.
"We are trying to bring quality water to remote areas." The project uses
technology that produces air water, atmospheric water, and we capture
the micro particles of water that are in relative humidity and
condensation. Water of this quality, "explained the company's executive
director, Hector Pino.
The machine, which analyses the environmental conditions of the
environment in which the process takes place - the air does not have the
same characteristics at sea level as in height, for example - also performs
other tasks that perfect the final product.
"The goal is to deliver quality water to
people who cannot access it easily or
enjoy water that can be even bad for
your health. The machine processes,
purifies and filters to deliver a high
quality product, Influenced Pino.
Now, the Freshwater project is
implemented in 20 communities -
especially in northern Chile, an area that
has the most problems getting water -
and reaches 2,400 people. (EFE)
How would the "WMS1000 Turbine" improve
people's lives?
EoleWater wishes to emphasize the ecological advantages and the importance of its
products in public health, in particular due to the worldwide challenge of reducing
drinking water and accompanying ills: famine, disease and population
displacement.
Since 2012, more than a third of the planet's population (2 billion people) has
survived with less than 5 liters of water per day, a situation called water deficit
stress by experts, including the United Nations Organization for Agriculture and
Food (FAO), a specialized agency whose mandate is to prevent hunger.

In addition, it is estimated that two million people, mostly children, die every day
from illnesses caused by the consumption of unhealthy water and the absence of
adequate sanitation.
Eole Water products are in a position to meet these global challenges. With
respect to the environmental impact, the company's turbines, capable of
generating water sources, promise to replace a series of water resources currently
used. These also do not produce emissions (since they are self-powered, depend
on solar and wind energy and do not produce waste like carbon dioxide) and are
recyclable. They also promote human well-being and development in many ways.
As the machines are installed by indigenous workers, and the turbines also
generate sustainable development and jobs for the contracted population.
