Water is a natural gift given to us by nature.
Drinking water regularly in daily basis is the
best way we can give to our bodies. Some of us
drink it when we really thirsty and some of us
drink it when we are fully hydrated. The
surprising thing is that there are some people
who do not like drinking at all. In fact, we need
to keep our health no matter who we are. The
importance of drinking water for our bodies is
paramount to our health because it makes up to
70% of our bodies' weight.
Definition / Explanation
Obesity is defined as having an excessive
amount of body fat. Obesity is more than just a
cosmetic concerns, though. It increases your
risk of diseases and health problems such as
heart disease, diabetes and high blood pressure.
Being extremely obese means you are especially
likely to have health problems related to your
weight. You can usually lose weights through
dietary changes, increased physical activity
and behavior changes. In some cases,
prescription medications or weight-loss
surgery may be options.
Set The Scene
After a long hard day of school and work, I
trudge up the stairs to my apartments. As I
approach the door, I can ready hear the
mumbles of the television. I open the door and
not surprised to see my sister on the couch,
hand on remote and flipping through channels.
She watches television day and night, so much
that my cousins and I now refer to her as the
Human TV Guide. My sister has memorized
practically everything there is to know about
television. Yet she has difficulty memorizing the
multiplication table; all due to the effects of
watching television endlessly.
Problem-solution
A recent study has shown that children watch
an average of seven hours of television a day.
This is a great concern to many parents. They
worry that the violence on television will
influence their childrens behaviour. They also
worry that the frequent commercials for
unhealthy food will affect their childrens eating
habits. What can they do? The solution to this
problem is simple : Parents should carefully
select the programs their children watch and
limit the number of viewing hours.
