Abstract
ALSPAC methods
The funding bodies did not have a role in the study design, data
collection, data analysis, data interpretation or writing of the
report.
The author had full access to all the study data used and final
responsibility to submit for publication.
Results
the motherchild pairs in this study were more likely to be older,
of white ethnicity, with markers of higher socio-economic status
(e.g. a higher proportion of breast-feeding mothers, higher
educational attainment and social class and a lower proportion of
smokers).
They were not able to control for the association between infant
vitamin D status and neurocognitive function as they had no
measures of vitamin D status in infancy.
