An ecosystem is a system

environment in which there are

reciprocal relationships
between living things (biotic)
and the environment (abiotic).
One form of the
interrelationships between living
things is "Food Chain". At these
events, components of the
ecosystem, especially biotic
component, has three basic
roles, namely as producers,
consumers and decomposers.
1. food chain
food chain is the event eat and being eaten between
living things in a certain order in which the displacement
of matter or energy.
In The food chain there are several
components that play a role are
1. producers
Producers make their own food
As producers green plants produce food
[carbohydrate] through the through the process
of photosynthesis
producers is the main energy source for other
organisms, namely the consumer.

green plants grass

2. Consumers
can not make their own food in the body sois called
heterotrophic
eat green plants and also eat each other
get organic substances that have been established by
the producer, or from another customer become prey
Consumers classified into three : herbivora karnivora
and omnivora

Herbivora Omnivora Karnivora

3. Decomposers

decomposers are organisms that decompose organic

matter derived from dead organisms.
Classified as decomposers are bacteria and fungi. There
are also decomposers called detritivor, namely animals
that eat decomposing remains of organic materials, for
example is woodlice.

fungi
2. Mechanisms Food Chain
3. Type of Food Chain
Based components of trophic levels, the food chain can
be divided into two namely Grazing food chain and the
detritus food chain.
1. Grazing food chain
a food chain that starts from plants as producers.
Grazing food chain groove can be seen in the
2. detritus food chain
Primary source of energy is dead organic matter called
'detritus' which are fallen leaves, plant parts or dead
animal bodies.
Primary consumers are 'detritivores' including
protozoans, bacteria, fungi, etc
Detritus food chains are generally shorter than grazing
food chains
CONCLUSION

The food chain is the process of eating and being eaten

in a series of organisms with specific order in which the
displacement of matter or energy. In the food chain
levels or sequences of organisms are called trophic
levels. trophic levels, namely producers, primary
consumers, secondary consumers, tertiary and quarter.
Based component trophic levels of the food chain can be
divided into two, namely Grazing food chain and the
detritus food chain.
