Trident is a multispecialty

This project deals with study


of the process analysis of the
ambulance services offered
by the hospital.

Since trident is the only big
multispecialty hospital
available in Shamshabad,
people rely on its
ambulance services for
any emergency situations
occurring 3-20 KM radius.
As soon a call is received
by the hospital, the
ambulance is made ready
and reaches the site in the
least possible time

Total number of drivers =2(drivers well aware of the locality)
Number of people inside the ambulance =2(one driver and one

The process begins from the reception of call ,to the ambulance
department of the hospital.
When an accident occurs its always the witness who calls to the
nearest ambulance service available.

Assistant collects medicines from


freezer and driver quickly checks the

travels from the hospital to the site.

Medical assistant inspects the patient and
provides the basic first aid.

Patient is then boarded into the ambulance.

Average time taken for process -10minutes.


Ambulance with patient starts travelling back.

Initial treatments provided inside ambulance with the help of


life saving instruments. .(includes basic instruments like
intubation tray, stretcher, oxygen cylinder, starch and saline
solutions, ambubag, first aid box, oxygen mask)

Average time taken to reach back -30 minutes(*same traffic


conditions)

Patient is deboarded from ambulance and taken to the casualty
ward
This process of taking the patient from the ambulance to
casualty room takes about 1 minute.
At the casualty room the treatment begins for the patients.
Bottle neck = total travel time i.e. time taken to reach the site +
time taken to reach the hospital form the site=30 minutes
