Each partner needs to do the following on their own. Your


group should be holding the Steps. They need to check to see if
you are following the correct steps.
Choose a sample to look at.
Follow the correct steps to use microscope. You should focus
the image on low (red) and high (blue) power.
Reset your microscope and take the slide off.
Switch partners.

Turn on the light

Rotate the nosepiece to the 10x low-objective until it clicks into place

Secure the slide to the stage by using the stage clips.

Start focusing by turning the coarse adjustment knob. As you turn it look through
the eyepiece to bring the image into focus.

To make the image as sharp as possible twist the fine adjustment knob carefully

Make sure the area you want to magnify is centered for the best view

Switch to the 40x high-objective lens by rotating the nosepiece.
