 LOCATION
The Region of Arica Parinacota is located in the North end of
our territory

Limits:
To the North with Per.
To the South with the Region of Tarapac
To the East with Bolivia and
To the West with the
XV REGION Pacific
ARICA Ocean.

 REGIONAL DISTRIBUTION

The regional capital is Arica.

It is divided into two provinces Arica and Putre.

NATURAL HERITAGE SITE SALAR DE SURIRE
NATURAL MONUMENT QUEBRADA DE CARDONES
Andean Steppe:
- Outstanding camelids (Llama, vicuna, alpaca, guanaco).
- Other outstanding mammals are the Vizcacha, the Fox and
the Quirquincho of the puna.
- Some birds that inhabit this zone are the Andean flamenco,
the parina chica, the Chilean flamenco, the condor, the puna
duck among others.
