Objectives of the Induction Training: 1/2
• To equip the new members of teaching staff with:

• knowledge of school systems and procedures


immediately relevant to the work allocated,
• basic skills in teaching/ learning and assessment
practice,
• improving competence in using ICT as a means of
communication and as a tool for learning and
teaching,
• knowledge and skills up to date in the subjects they
will teach,
• knowledge of how to access information resources.
Objectives of the Induction Training: 2/2

• To provide the new members a forum to share


their apprehensions and seek solutions
regarding the classroom teaching.
• To promote collegiality amongst teachers.
• To prepare newly inducted teachers to perform
their duties efficiently and confidently.
Objectives of the Orientation Session:
MTs will be able to:
• Understand the objectives of the induction
training
• Understand whole procedure of training and
their expected role
• Conduct the training sessions effectively
• Perform their role effectively to achieve the
objectives of the training

Components of Training:
• Inauguration & orientation on training to the
trainees

▫ 02 Tests (Objective type and Short Questions) of the
relevant subjects and Grade level (each test of 50

▫ To be prepared at DSD (from textbooks/past papers)
and checked by the Master Trainer
Components of Training:

• Recap of Previous day:


• All trainees will prepare the previous day report
which will be brief (one page)
• Randomly one trainee will be asked to present
• Lesson Plan Preparation:
• Each trainee will develop 10 Lesson Plans
• Master Trainer will evaluate the Lesson Plans and
will include the marks in the indicator of “Lesson
Plan Submission”.
• Computer Practice:
• At the end of each day the trainees will practice
computer from 01:45pm to 02:30pm.
• Trainer will monitor the presence of trainees in
computer practice sessions.
Components of Training:
• Sessions:
• MTs are expected to conduct Interactive
sessions by involving participants in
activities/ group work
• One trainee will be assigned to prepare one
page brief of one session. Brief will be on
content (not the reflection) One page brief
will be shared
• School Visit:
• There will be pre-visit, and post visit session
in which learning outcomes to be shared.
Components of Training:
• Sports / Physical Training:
• The trainees will practice walk, jogging, / stretching exercises daily for
30 minutes in morning assembly before the first session.
• The trainees’ assessment criteria contains 5% weightage regarding their
sports participation.
• The DTSC heads will arrange resource person / trainer for sports /
physical training (preferably from the already trained resource
persons).
• On 3rd last day, the trainer will conduct athletics competition (100
metre race, 400 metre relay race, broad jump, short put) among the
trainees, after the working sessions (after 02:30 pm).
• The sports trainer will evaluate the trainees as per the evaluation sheet.
Components of Training:

• Home Assignment for subject content:


▫ Trainees will thoroughly study textbooks of relevant
subjects from the 1st day of training as they have to
appear in the examination (2 content based tests)
during 3rd and 4th week of training.
▫ Practice to solve the PEC /BISE subject relevant
papers (last 3 years)
▫ MT will develop, conduct and assess content-based
tests.
Content Teaching
• Real time need analysis will be done at the
beginning of the training
• Sessions on relevant Curriculum will be assigned
to each trainee. The more difficult sessions will
be conducted by Master Trainer.
• The trainees will prepare and present the lesson
as per the Lesson Plan format of Teacher Guides
• During trainees’ lesson presentation, MT will
generate discussion and will give feedback.
Active Participation of all Trainees:
• To ensure active participation for effective
learning, trainees are to be divided into groups
comprising 6 to 8 persons.
• In the group work, team efforts are to be
inculcated in trainees, which means, each of the
member of groups will have to contribute.
• Each group will have to make presentation
before the whole class.
• Presentation will be graded /evaluated by the
Master Trainer.

Note: Sports/Physical Training will be arranged 5 days a week (Friday off).
