Case Study
• We are analysing the performance of students of Trichy Public School
(TPS).
• We analyse the past performance of two sections of students to
analyse the possible factors that can influence the underperformance
of the students.
• For this purpose, we segregate the students into two silos : under
performers (bottom 40%) and the top performers (top 20%).
Approach to the problem
Data separation and consolidation [Top 20% + Bottom 40%]

Analysing effect of each factor on the marks obtained.

[SRM]

Arriving at the list of factors that contribute to the

performance.

Check for relationship between factors. [Correlation]

Analysing combined effect of factors on the performance.
