A brief history of shoe


• We born as borefoot. evidence from the Laetoli footprints 3.4 million years ago that human
bipedalism was fully developed by that time.
• From archaeological research, we know that shoes have been made and worn for about 40,000
years, as evidenced from the weakening of small toe bones which points to the habitual wearing
of shoes.
• The 15,000 year old Spanish cave paintings shows the footwear were developed into advanced
boots.

during the occasional rituals and the poor class people
worn shoes made from the papyrus and straw; slaves
were forced to walk in barefoot
• In 6° century BC, the Assyrians used customized elegant
boots in the military & 2° century AD, the persian
cavilier military used high heels to give stability during
battle.
• In Byzantium empire, the emperors used purple color
shoe based on their ranks and the purple color was
very rare to extract and the mollusk was only source for
it; black color was reserved for common people and
ornamental, arabesques leather shoes was for the
women.

• During 14° century , the long pointed beak shoes

differ from the lower class. Maximilian I, Holy
Roman Emperor was a noteable example for it.

platform shoes that was popular in 15° century in

closing, making; finishing);
