Content Standard: 1.1 By the end of the 6-year primary schooling,


pupils will be able to pronounce words and speak confidently with
correct stress, rhythm and intonation.

Learning Standard: 1.1.2 Able to listen and respond to a given


stimulus by using appropriate words, phrases and expressions with
the correct stress, rhythm and intonation.

1. Teacher assess pupils by using variety of picture cards that
contain situations of places like zoo, school, restaurant, home and
playground.
2. The picture cards in the envelops is label by numbers of 1 to 5.
3. Pupils will be given chance to pick randomly one of the five
picture cards according to the number they choose.
4. Pupils describe what they see on the picture cards.
5. Teacher assess pupils speaking skills by using proficiency test.
RATIONALE
• Creating positive attitudes and motivation within the E L classroom
• To develop pupils thinking skills in making associations and
connections.
• To enable pupils to give feedback & provide opportunities for pupils
to learn from errors. (when the assessment is return, teacher
discuss with pupils)
• To reinforce development of language skills

STEPS:
1. Teacher shows things in classroom one by one to the pupil
2. Teacher spells and says aloud every thing in classroom one by one. Pupil repeats aloud
Rationale: 1. To development of language skills
2. To enhance vocabulary

2. Pupil points every thing in classroom when teacher asks. Example: point the pencil.
