GENERAL PARKING SYSTEM

 A parking lot also known as car lot, is a cleared area that is more or less
level and is intended for parking vehicles.

 In most countries where cars are the dominant mode of

transportation
Parking lots are a feature of every city and suburban
area
 Shopping malls, sports stadiums, megachurches and
similar venues often feature parking lots of immense area.
MULTILEVEL CAR PARKING

 Cars are parked in multilevel i.e. in one

or more levels using mechanical lifts

 Number of cars parked in the same

area can be increased by 2 to 3 times
within the same area

 The security of the car is also increased a

bit than general parking
AUTOMATED MULTISTORIED PARKING

 A smarter and précised way to park

 As it is fully automated cars can be parked more precisely
compared to normal multistoried parking system

 Eco-friendly
Highly secured comparatively
SPECIFICATIONS

 MOVABLE PAKING CART:

i. This is a movable cart on which we place the car and can leave the car
locked.
ii. It has a roller arrangement so as to move the cart and also the car from cart
to parking slot.

iii. This cart has a capacity of carrying 3 to 4 kg of weight

iv. Each floor has one such cart and the track is grooved for
the cart to move
 SISSORS LIFT:

i. This is an effective method of lifting to heights

ii. It also has a small roller arrangement so as to move the car on
to the parking cart in the next floor.
iii. The car from parking cart of ground floor is rolled on to the lift
as there are complications in moving the cart directly to the
next floor or level.

iv. Lift mechanism is being designed using

motors with pinion arrangement
 INFRA RED SENSOR :

 Most suitable for…………….

a) Opaque and reflective objects

b) Dirty, polluted environment

c) Long range
Typical range = 0–100 ft.
a) Accuracy with small objects

 MOTORS :

unipolar and
bipolar formats Synchronous Motor
Holding Torque Single-phase
up to 880 gm-cm Variable Speed
BLOCK DIAGRAM
CART MODULE

 The main module of this section is control module

 The signal from sensing module is received and then checks

the status of the cart at each level and also status of park area.

 Interface module is a trans-receiver to interface between motor and

controller
PARK AREA MODULE

 The major and complex module of entire system

 Entire system work depending on the signal from the module
 Feed back are fed to every module to make the system reliable and
to avoid crashes
LIFT MODULE

 There are two sensing phases here

a) First is to sense the presence of car on the lift
b) Second being the sensing of level reached
 The controller gets a feed back from the sensing module of park
area module regarding the availability of slot
 Accordingly the sensing module of the section switches and moves
to the corresponding level
KEY FEATURES

 This technology allows for two to three times the amount of cars to be
parked in the same space / volume of a conventional garage.

 The patron parks and retrieves it’s car on ground floor with easy access,
takes the keys with in the pocket and no one ever drives or even touches
the car

 The technology can be implemented easily in many downtown locations

where a conventional garage could not fit by providing a larger number of
parking spaces, this drastically will reduce traffic in downtowns

 The elimination of huge amounts of toxic emissions is an additional

STATUS

 The mechanical designing has been completed and is to be fabricated

 The beams and bases are of mild steel to reduce corrosion

 The cart and the lift bases are planned to with stand up to 3-4 kg weight.

 The required torque have to be calculated and the appropriate motors have
to be selected

 Electrical driver circuit have to be designed accordingly
