Governments of the Industrial World, you weary giants of
flesh and steel, I come from Cyberspace, the new home of
Mind. On behalf of the future, I ask you of the past to leave
us alone. You are not welcome among us. You have no
sovereignty where we gather.
 The Web is an abstract (imaginary) space of
information. On the Net, you find computers -- on
the Web, you find document, sounds, videos,....
information. On the Net, the connections are cables
between computers; on the Web, connections are
hypertext links. The Web exists because of programs
which communicate between computers on the Net.
The Web could not be without the Net.

The original version of this image was created in October 2006, using volumes 25cm high and
5cm thick (some 400 leaves), each page having two columns, each columns having 80 rows,
and each row having 50 characters, ≈ 6MB per volume. As English Wikipedia has 4.4GB of text
(October 2006) ≈ 750 volumes. Note that these are conservative estimates, and don't include
images, tables, templates etc. which probably take up more surface than the text which
describes them.
