Prognosis

• Excellent if patient has sufficient counseling and

moral support
• Hormone replacement therapy – estrogen to
prevent osteoporosis, with yearly assessments.
• Psychotherapy for psychosexual identity disorder
for patient, and for family to help patient cope.
• Further inpatient management only for
postoperative care.
