INTERPRETATION
Refers to the task of drawing interference from the collected facts after an
analytical or experimental study.
A device through which a researcher enlightens the research work to help to
understand his/her work and to serve as a guide for further researches

COMPONENT OF RESEARCH PROCESS
Through interpretation, researcher can understand the abstract principle beneath his
findings. By interpretation, the researcher can link other studies with his/her one and
a continuity can be maintained.

Interpretation leads to establishment of explanatory concepts which may guide


future researches.

The real significance of a research can be understood by correct interpretation.

TECHNIQUES OF INTERPRETATION
I. Researchers must give reasonable explanations of his findings and interpret the
relationship among the processes. This technique is about how generalizations
should be done

II. While interpreting, the influences of extraneous information should be kept in


mind.

III. It is wise to seek help or consultation of experts on the similar study before final
interpretation

PRECAUTIONS IN INTERPRETATIONS
I. Researcher should be assured that the data are appropriate, homogenous and
properly analysed.
II. The researcher should be cautious about the errors that can possibly happen
while interpretation. The researchers prime concern should be that no false
generalization is made during the interpretation.
III. The researcher must be aware that the task of interpretation is very much
intertwined with analysis and can not be distinctly separated.
IV. The interpretation should not only state the sensitive observations but also expose
the facts which are not initially identified.
V. There should be interaction among the hypothesis, observation and conception.

 Research report is a major component of a research because the research itself is
incomplete without a presented report.
 A brilliant hypothesis with highly conducted research study is not worthy without a
effective communication among its components which is bond together by a report.
 Writing a report is the last stage of a research and it needs a set of skills which
are different from those of conducting a research.
This task should be done with utmost care and if needed, expert advise may be
taken by the researcher to write a report.
