health care disparities

 Born at either an advantage or disadvantage


 One of the biggest disparities nationwide = ethnicity
 Biggest disparity = income level
Introduction
 In Jacksonville = same trends followed as nationwide
 Poverty in Jacksonville = 27.2% African Americans,
18.6% Hispanic, 11.2% white
 Percentage of elders, children, & single
parents living in poverty
 Percentage of adults over the age of 25 with
limited English proficiency, and the percentage
Social & Economic of the population is non-white.

the individual to care for themselves
