Organogram
• 312 Art MRS occupy a land mass of 50 by
100m
• It was formally an MRI but now a full
functioning MRS .
• Management is under a 6 member NHIS
Committee supervised by the CO.
Operation
• 9 bed Hospital , 4 beds in both male and
female ward, and 1 bed in maternity ward.
• Sub Division include , GOPD, Mini –theatre,
Emergency, Laboratory and Pharmacy.
• Services rendered include :
• a Management of Basic common illness.
• b Emergencies/ Trauma
• c Maternity and Immunizations.

• The MRS is Staffed currently with 6 Soldiers
; 5 Artillery Soldiers and 1 Medical Soldier.
• 14 NHIS employed Staffs
• 6 MOD Staffs

• Vehicle: 1 Ambulance
• Hospital Equipment's : 9 Beds and mattresses
2 Oxygen Cylinders , 3 Sphygmomanometers

Stands . 1 wheel chair. 3 Weighing Scale.
• Set of Forceps , 3 Trolleys .
• Electronics : 4 Television 1 Go TV Decoder. 6
Ceiling Fan , 3Refrigerator 1 Generator 1

• Laboratory : 1 Microscope , 1
Microhaematocrit Centrifuge 1 Macro
Centrifuge. 1 Incubator 1
Spectrophotometer, 1 Genotype Machine,
• 1 Neubuer Counting chamber . 1 blood cell
counter , 1 Weighing Balance, 1 Glucometer
{Fine test} 2 Micro Pipette . 1 UPS
• Others Fire Extinguisher , Stabilizer 5000hz ,
Emergency box.
Finances
• Capitation paid by NHIS on monthly Basis.
• 30% of this is remitted by to NAMC HQ.
Challenges
• Attitudes of Staffs to work:
• a Punctuality.
• b Regimentation and taking to Orders by
Serving Personnel.

• Quality Services
• Attitude to Patients.
Progress
• Achievement so far include:
• Regular and smooth supply of essential drugs
to Staff.
• Positive Change in the Image of the MRS.
• Assess to Quality Care.
• A more embrasing approach to clinical
management.
• Human Personnel investment in Teaching
Progress
Additional Staff:
A new vital staff for counseling and Social
Services for the entire Barracks was recently
added.

• Why Should I do my Best? Is it not Army Job?
• Will I not be paid if I do as little as possible? Is
it not Government Job?
• Why should I work to make the hospital clean
is it not a Government Hospital?
• Why should I try to be punctual ?
