what is RF optimization means ?
“Optimization is the fine-tuning of a nominal cell plan to a real environment .” Quality
• The design criteria in regards to coverage, capacity and quality .
• Finding and correcting any existing problems after site implementation Optimization
and integration.
• Meeting the network quality criteria agreed in the contract. Cost Resources
“A process through which different radio parameters and antenna parameters are adjusted
in order to improve the signal coverage and improve service quality of the mobile

RF optimization workflow
RF (Radio Frequency) optimization is the most important step to
ensure the quality of the network.
RF optimization will solve network problems related to neighbor cell
list, coverage and interference.
Parameter optimization is an important step after RF Optimization.
Parameter optimization improves service quality and utilization of
network resources.

Interference Problem
Coverage Problem Both uplink and downlink interference causes call
UMTS drop.
Weak coverage might be due to the
following causes: Analysis In downlink, when the active set CPICH RSCP is
greater than –85 dBm and the active set Ec/Io is
Lack of NodeBs smaller than –13 dB, the call drop is probably due
Incorrectly configured sectors to downlink interference.
NodeB failure due to power Uplink interference increases the UE downlink
amplifier failure transmit power in connection mode, so the over
high BLER causes SRB reset, TRB reset, or call
drop due to synchronization.
