attitudes, values, and motives. The meanings of
the symbols are learned and deliberately
perpetuated in a society through its institutionsµ.

stimulate cultural change.

2 Pakistani culture has changed and evolved in
recent times specially in last 15-20 years
2 Recent decades have seen the emergence of a
middle class in cities like Karachi, Lahore,
Rawalpindi, Hyderabad, Faisalabad, and
Peshawar that wish to move in a more liberal
direction on the other hand
2 northwestern regions bordering Afghanistan
that remain highly conservative and dominated
by centuries-old regional tribal customs.

limited to dramas in colleges and universities and occasional
visiting troupes, performing mostly Shakespeare·s plays

it can bring a significant impact on the larger
population mind set but it had supported
Tamashbeeni culture in our society
2 Easily seen in our daily life that nothing
provokes us to stand ´against or forµ and this has
strengthen the collective stagnancy of our society
and thus I called it ´Tamashbeeniµ.
