IV. Scenario
• A tropical cyclone that has moved west northwest at 13 kph with
a maximum sustained winds of 90kph near the center and
gustiness of up to 100 kph had stricken the municipality of Taal
where Taal Senior High School is severely affected

V. Objectives:
This contingency plan focuses on the actions to be
taken to relatively diminish the risks of damages and
losses brought about by the extreme weather condition in
Taal Senior High School. This is through in-depth
mitigation, preparation, response and rehabilitation plan
that will serve as a guide in establishing the roles and
responsibilities of the concerned individuals.
It aims to:

Strengthen awareness of all clientele about the safety


precautions during the occurrence of meteorological
disaster particularly typhoon.
Building strong, positive relationship and partnerships
within and among students, colleagues, parents and
community.
Develop positive attitude in supporting schools’
programs, plans and projects by working together as a
system.
It aims to:

• Ensure the safety of all teachers, students and


visitors at the school
• Protect vital information and records
• Secure facilities
• Safeguard and make available vital materials,
supplies and equipment to ensure the safety and
recovery of records from predictable disasters
• Reduce the risk of disasters caused by human error,
deliberate destruction, and building or equipment
failures
It aims to:
• Be better prepared to recover from a major natural
catastrophe
• Ensure the organization's ability to continue
operating after a disaster
• Recover lost or damaged records or information after
a disaster
• Establish and empower the school disaster
management committee
• Conduct school hazard impact assessment. Identify
vulnerable and dangerous areas both in school and
nearby communities.
It aims to:

• Disseminate information and important


announcements to all the internal stakeholders
and the nearby communities as well as
strengthening awareness and safety precautions
during the occurrence of meteorological disaster
particularly typhoon.
• Coordination with the barangay and municipal
DRRM committee about the situation and the
condition of the place.

VII. Protocols
Mobilize the SDRRM team immediately upon the onset of extreme weather conditions.

Establish communication with Municipal, Provincial DRRM and Division office for
actions to be taken

Immediately require all clusters of the SDRRM focal persons for coordination and
reporting.

Disseminate proper information to all employees, students and stakeholders for class
suspensions and other relevant news regarding the school conditions.

Organize meetings with partner agencies for immediate interventions and response.

Alert Psychological First Aid Team (DSWD and Red Cross) for the provision of the same
to identified victims.

Monitoring and evaluation

Make recommendations for the necessary interventions , recovery and rehab

Assist the schools and facilitate their identified needs
