 NEWS CHANNEL MANAGEMENT
•Television is not an one man show. Similarly
the News can not be managed by a single
person.
•It requires a team to manage the News
channel.
•The team consists of Journalists, Technicians,
Ground staffs, field managers and sales
persons.
•Journalists include the Copy Editors, Editors,
Executive Producers, Producers, Reporters and
Video Journalists.

 NEWS CHANNEL MANAGEMENT
•Technicians include the Panel Producer, The Online
Video Editor/Vision Mixer Engineer, The Audio
Engineer, The sting operator/CG Operator, Systems
Engineer, System administrator, Floor Manager,
Graphics designer, Video Editor, Post Production
head, Production Coordinator.
• The Ground/Support staff include the Make-up
artist, Hair dresser, Costume Executive, Spot boy and
office boy.
•The sales and Marketing team include the sales
executives, Publicity manager, Sales manager, Head
of sales.

 OUTPUT DESK
•Looks after the output of the channel.
•Handle all stories, inputs received from the input
desk.
•Making copy, Editing the story, Voice over, Value
addition, placement in the run down are done by
the output desk.
•All content put on the lower third/ticker of the
channel.
•Making back to back shows.
•Making promos, teasers for the channel.

 OUTPUT HEAD/ OUTPUT EDITOR
•Responsible for Final output of the channel.
•Decides the format of the stories.
•Decides the airtime of the stories.
•Assigns stories to different producers.
•Keeps coordination between field and desk.
•Keeps coordination with desk and PCR.
•Guides the Anchors, Run down producers.
•Monitors promos, teasers for the channel.
•Manages man power as well as content.
