HTS-580 SERIES TOTAL STATION
ANGLE OBSERVATION PROCEDURE
 Set up tripod on Observation Station.

 Centre the tripod with plum bob.

 Set up Total Station on tripod loosely.

 Centre the Total Station on the point & tighten the base
screw.

 Level the Total Station properly.

 Focus the Ratical lines of telescope.

 Focus Total Station on left most First target with FACE

LEFT and clamp it in this position. Set initial reading at
zero by ‘0 set’ option.
HTS-580 SERIES TOTAL STATION

 Unclamp the Total Station and move in clock wise

direction to the next target.

 Focus, adjust pointing, and note down the reading on

given Performa.

 Turn the telescope clockwise to next target.

 After taking reading on the last target, change to FACE

RIGHT and again take reading on the last target.

 Now turn Total Station anticlockwise and point on

second last target and take reading.

 Keep turning anticlockwise and taking readings on targets till
you reach the first target and take reading.
NOW YOU HAVE COMPLETED ONE ROUND OF
HORIZONTAL ANGLES

 For second round focus the total Station on the first target on
face left and setup the initial reading on the display between
10 degree and 15 Degrees and proceed with the
measurement of angles as done earlier.

 Take at least Two Round of angles at each stations.

 Note down the MEAN and SPREAD

of Reading on Observation Book.
 Fill in all the details required on the proforma.
