employee of the year in a production industry situated in
Lapu-Lapu City was sent to Japan for company
benchmarking. When he arrived there and visited the
partner industry, the Japanese workers welcomed him
warmly despite of his race and other attributes. What
influence of globalization was being shown in this
situation? How do you evaluate such influence? Why?
 SITUATION 2:

2. The Lapu-Lapu City local government has been recently

awarded by the DILG, POPCOM, and the Office of the
Ombudsman with excellent performance in transparency
and governance. More foreign investors started to establish
production industries in Mactan Economic Processing Zone
(MEPZ) giving wide employment opportunities to its
constituents. What influence of globalization was shown in
this situation? How do you evaluate such influence? Why?
 SITUATION 3:

3. The Chief Executive of the local government of the

island-city of Lapu-Lapu gave its full support to the
Philippines’ diplomatic claim against China’s claim over the
Scarborough Shoal. Our country won its claim in the UN
Tribunal and to this effect, Chinese partnership in the city
started to fade and later withdrawn its support to the city.
