Data Analytics and Business Intelligence area. Please refer to the links at the bottom for other training
assets.

Big data analytics, mobile devices, cloud-based solutions, self-service Business Intelligence (BI) and
predictive analytics—these are the major trends influencing today’s decision-making environments.
Trends like these indicate that we are in the midst of a data revolution. Despite the proliferation of data
warehouses, BI and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications, there is a growing realization the
core of many organizations’ issues and opportunities are rooted in data. An organization’s ability to
execute on business strategies is tied to its ability to organize and utilize data to its fullest potential.
According to Gartner’s research, 40% of all business initiatives fail to achieve their targeted goals due to
poor data management. Within this course, we will explore how Accenture’s approach to data
governance will assist clients in managing their data successfully.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

Illustrate how data governance fits within Accenture’s Enterprise Data Management (EDM) framework.

Define data governance and its impact on the client.

Describe data governance challenges and how Accenture resolves them.

Describe Accenture’s data governance methodologies.

Identify Accenture’s data governance services.

Apply Accenture’s guiding principles and best practices to data governance situations
