Rationale/Justification

The introduction started with the presentation of where the problem escalates-mostly are
evidences about the problem.
Presentation of prior researches on the issue of the low reading proficiency of students

In the final two paragraphs, the author connected the identified issues regarding the low reading
performance of students on the importance of the conduct of the study. Further, the author also
presented who will benefit the study.

Most sentences are written in complex form. The presentation of the reason of the conduct of the
study in past form tenses

The choice of words of the author are easily understood

Citations are found every after the paragraph


Statement of the Problem
Detailed explanation and evidences about the rationale of the problem are provided. There was
also a mention of the different programs that has been implemented in the state.
The problem is presented in the final paragraph of the statement of the problem.
There is no mention of the specifics of the problem. Only the general statement of the problem is
presented.
Research questions are presented under the conceptual framework.
After detailing the different research questions, there are hypothesis stipulated.
Significance and Limitations of the study

The purpose of the study is clearly stipulated as to where and who will benefit
the study.
After the presentation of the limitation of the study, Definitions of operational
tterms are being presented
Review of Related Literature

The study presented different studies that has something to do on the study like
the component of different reading programs, the different Early Reading
programs conducted, and the different tests that was used in the assessment of
students’ reading proficiency.
Overall Evaluation

The language of the study is comprehensible. It can be understood easily as the


choice of words are simpler. The sentences mostly are of the complex form. On
the other hand, on some occasion, some of the tenses, especially when the
thought is pertaining to the study, are written in past tenses but when pointing
out to the review of the researcher on some related study, sentences are written
in present tenses.
Issues found

The study is purely quantitative as the researcher only studied the effectiveness
of an Early Reading Intervention program conducted by district. However, the
result is higjly significant to the districts’ future direction in the developing
further the instruction following the thurst of an increased student academic
achievements
