with water it appears
to be blue.
Sources of
water
FRESH WATER
1. OCEANS
2. RIVERS
3. LAKE
4. BACK WATER
GROUND WATERS
• WELLS
• PONDS
• TUBEWELL
MULTITUDE OF WELLS
• Wells are common in our locality

• Eg: paddy fields, ponds, swamy region and all
low lying region.
WORLD WATERSHED DAY
2 FEBRUARY
Water pollutions
• The un desirable change in the physical
chemical and Biological properties of water
termed as Water Pollution.
EFFECTS OF WATER POLLUTIONS
• The water pollution affects Availability of
freshwater land, air and survival or plant and
animal.
RAIN WATERS
• 120 Cubic kilometers of water is received
annually through rain in kerala alone.
HARVESTING RAIN WATER
• Harvesting rain water is the best way to solve
the problem of water scarcity.
• .
STORAGE OF SURFACE RUNOFF
• Conservation of wetlands
• Protection of forests
• Terrace farming
• Construction of check dams
• Construction of mud walls
• Digging rainwater percolation pits.
RECYCLING OF WATER
CONCLUSION
• LET OUR TOMORROWS
