Report presentation (10%)

• Abstract: Your report should start with an abstract of no more than 100 words summarising the topic being reported and the
main findings.
• Nomenclature: Any symbols used in your report should listed with their definition given. The symbols should be listed in
alphabetical order within the subsets: Roman upper-case, Roman lower-case, Greek upper-case, Greek lower-case.
• Sections: Sections should be numbered. The section header should be in bold, upper case.
• Sub-sections: Sub-sections should be numbered indicating which main section they are part of (e.g. 1.2 for the second sub-
section in section 1). The sub-section header should be bold, sentence case.
• Figures: Figures should appear in a box with a figure title beneath the box. Figures should be central in the column of text with
a line break above and below the figure (i.e. do not wrap text around the figure). Figures should be numbered (Figure 1, Figure
2 etc). Figures must be referred to from the main body of the text.
• Tables: Tables should appear in a box with a table title beneath the box. Tables should be central in the column of text with a
line break above and below the table (i.e. do not wrap text around the table). Tables should be numbered (Table 1, Table 2
etc). Tables must be referred to from the main body of the text.
• References: References should be given using the APA 6th system.
• Font: Arial font should be used. Font size 10 should be used for all text other than labels within figures where a minimum font
size of 8 may be used.
