Campaign MAY 2019


Fundraising Goals

 Expanding number of donors (vs. amount in


donation)
 Increasing awareness of BSPC in the community
 Specific amount: $275,000
 We raised $250,000 last year
 Social Media Campaign Goal: $5,000
Why Social Media?

 Some donors might respond better to social


media appeals instead of donor letters
 It’s a convenient way to spread awareness about
our organizations and ask people to donate
 Exponential exposure to potential donors
Timeline

 Fundraising month is from May 5th-June 2nd (4


weeks)
 Teaser post so people can expect the fundraising
campaign
 2nd week of April (You can like/share/comment but
not required)
Timeline
 Everyone who is participating will have a
designated week to post (2-3 posts)

1st Post -create your own post emphasizing why people


should donate/volunteer
-Everyone else and BSPC Like/Comment/Share

2nd and 3rd -Like/Comment and SHARE post from BSPC or Food
Post pantry FB (The exact time and date of the post will
be announced)

 This is the suggested minimum amount of posts. Everyone is


welcome to post/like/comment/share more than once if you
would like to.
1 st Post: Personal
 Share why you think someone should DONATE to BSPC or
a specific program (COMPASS, Food Pantry,
Achievement)
 Personal experiences/Stories/Information about
causes
 Posts with pictures/links/videos receive more
engagement
 Be sure to share the donation link with any post and
encourage donations
 Like/Share/Comment on each other’s personal posts
 Tag BSPC

nd rd Post
 BSPC FB ideas for posts:
 updates on fundraiser (how much vs. the goal)
 Activities that reflect what BSPC will use the donated money for
(pictures or video would be ideal)
 Inspirational quotes or scripture about giving?
 Always include pictures/videos if possible AND donation link
 We will send an email/alert out when our posts will be
published
Miscellaneous
 BSPC can provide literature/graphics for posting if you do
not have personal pictures
 We might set up a fundraiser tracking system so that there
is live tracking of our progress towards the fundraising
goal (TBA)
 This might be helpful to share in your posts as well
Next Steps
 Sign up for the week that you would like to post
 Be aware of who else posts that week so you can
like/comment/share their posts
 If you don’t already, Follow/Friend BSPC’s page and the
other people in your week so you are able to see and share
their posts
 This power point and recorded orientation will be easily
accessible for reference
 All necessary links found on last slide.
