I. INTRODUCTION

Jose Rizal, one of the most well-known hero

of Philippine History. He became famous
because unlike other heroes we know, fiction
or nonfiction, Rizal didn't use his physical
strength to fight. He didn't use such sharp
weapons nor deadly guns just to fight for what
he think is right. Rather, Rizal only uses his
intellect at its full potential, his weapons are
only his pen and imagination. He only make
stories to enlighten each and every Filipinos

Figure 2. Trial and Execution of Jose Rizal

After the Spanish authority noticed that Rizal's book was for triggering
Filipino minds to engage in a revolution, they team up and decided to
arrest Rizal. Even though the case were put in a legal process, the fact
that the court was under the colonizer's hands, Rizal cannot do a thing if
he proven guilty--and that was what happened. At the end of the court
session, Rizal found guilty and sentenced to death.
After all of Rizal's
sacrifices, is his life and
works are worthy for us to
study? Are they
important to be included
in different scholastic
