Sharecropping and Interlocking Factor Markets
 Sharecropping – occurs when a peasant farmer uses the
landowner’s farmland in exchange for a share of food output,
such as half of the wheat or rice he grows.

vegetables, coffee, tea, and
pyrethrum are established.
 Use of better seeds, fertilizers and
simple irrigation.
 Part for consumption, part for sales.
