By 2017 census report:
Figures show that Pakistan has very low literacy rate that’s not good for the
developing countries.
There are many reasons for low literacy. Poverty is the biggest
disadvantage and the largest resistance in the development of a country.
Over half of Pakistanis live below the poverty line. In Pakistan many
children work and support their families. Now in such conditions, the role
and support of the government becomes unavoidable.
There are some other reasons like Poor Education system, Wadera system,
Low budget for Education, lack of school in rural areas.
