It emphasizes the use of 4Rs : Reduce, Re-use, Re-cycle, and Re-think. It also aims to instill the sense of responsibility to save Mother Earth and the organisms within it. It is designed to educate and motivate people of all ages to be part of Earth Warriors’ growing populations. Eventually, it will financially support the Gift-Giving activity of Science and EsP Club for elderly and Persons with Disabilities. Most of all, This project will serve as the livelihood of the students who will not continue the Senior High School Level in which they can sell the finish products to the customers. (CoP Members) Science Club Officers and Grade 7-12 Science students Plastic parts not used in making giant flower were sold per kilo in the junkshop. HOW? (Process, Methodology, Strategy) Therewill be trash bins for every classroom from Grade VII to XII and the students will be instructed to segregate rubbish based on its classification as biodegradable, non-biodegradable, recyclable, and hazardous wastes. HOW? (Process, Methodology, Strategy) Biodegradable trashes or organic materials will be dumped into the compost pit and will eventually be utilized for ‘Gulayan sa Paaralan’ as fertilizer. Non-biodegradable and selected biodegradable materials will be recycled into another form to create a new and useful product. HOW? Hazardous materials will be separated and disposed properly. After completing the proper waste segregation process, the recyclable materials will be cleaned, disinfected and sanitized. These materials will be resized, redecorated and redesigned to create a new useful object or product. 50% of the profit will be given to the student/ group of students to support their needs and satisfy their stomach. 50% will be used to support the gift-giving activity of Science Club and EsP Club. How? Recycling used papers and plastics Once the desired object or product is completed, it will be labelled using biodegradable packaging and will be sold to the market through the help of the Science Club Officers. The price depends on the quality and appearance of the product. The profit is surely attainable in doing this project. How? Products will be displayed on Science Store and will be advertise online through the DNHS Science store facebook page. Likewise, these will be displayed during the Science Fair and other school activities. When? (Schedules, time, etc) The Garbage will be collected every Wednesday and products will be made by students every 4:00-5:00 in the afternoon.
