R. Suprapto (born in Purwokerto,
Central Java, June 20, 1920 - died in
Lubangbuaya, Jakarta, 1 October 1965
at the age of 45 years) was a national
hero Indonesia. He was one of the
victims in the G30S / PKI and buried
in Kalibata Heroes Cemetery, Jakarta.

Suprapto who was born in Purwokerto,


June 20, 1920, this can be said almost
the same age as Commander in Chief
Sudirman. Only age four years younger

At the beginning of independence, he was one of those who

in the fight against Japanese soldiers like in Cilacap, but the struggle

During his time at the People's Security Army (TKR), he recorded


history by participating in being one of those who participated in the
battle at Ambarawa against the British army. At that time, his troops
were led directly by Commander in Chief Sudirman. He is also one
who had been an adjutant of the Commander-in-Chief.
After Indonesia gained recognition of
sovereignty, it often moved
assignments. First he was assigned
as Chief of Staff Army and Territorial
(T & T) IV / Diponegoro in
Semarang. From Semarang he was
later withdrawn to Jakarta to become
a Force Staff Land, then to the
Ministry of Defense. And after the
PRRI / Permesta rebellion was
extinguished, he was appointed
Deputy Chief Army staff for the
Sumatra region based in Medan.
While in Medan the task is very
difficult because they have to guard R. Suprapto stamps issued in 1966
so that the rebellion as before did not
happen again.
