POLICE STATION

GUIDE BY :- POONAM SUBMMITED BY :- SWARNA

INTRODUCTION
 Maintaining a record of “POLICE STATION” we have to constantly update all
records of FIRs, Staff and other activities having admission and discharge from the
police station. In order to make data management efficiently automation is essential.
It enhances accuracy in calculation and reduces the efforts. This software mainly
deals with computerized system.
 Working with the software of Police Station.
 Basic Details
 New Police Entry
 Police Detail
 FIR Entry
 Attendance Entry
 Criminal Record
 Bail Record
 Closed File
 Start of Project:

 Login: Enter user name and password to use the application.

 Exit: To terminate the application.

 Basic Details: With the help of this option we can know about that particular Police Station

 List of thana.

 Staff Detail

 New Police Entry: If any new person joins the service at the station.

 Police Details: Complete information of all employee posted in the department.

 FIR Entry: Entry of First Information Report including all fields as name, prosecutor, age, date etc.

 Attendance Entry: Entry of daily attendance of employees at the station.

 Criminal Records: Details about criminal under consideration and closed files also.

 Bail Records: Records of all those cases and person under consideration got bail.

 Closed File: Records of all those cases which are not in consideration.

DATA ACCESS SOURCE

 Microsoft Visual Basic is the quickest and easiest way to create application for
the Microsoft Windows operating system. The Visual Basic programming
system allows the user to create attractive and useful application that fully
exploits the Graphical User Interface(GUIs).
 Recognize the action user’s take events such as mouse movements
and button clicks. Visual Basic also comes with a menu design feature that
makes creating menus a snap.
 Only after we design the interface dose anything like traditional
programming occur. Object in Visual Basic will recognize events like mouse
click, how the object respond to them depend upon the code we write. We shall
always need to write code in order to make controls responds to events. This
makes the Visual Basic programming fundamentally different from conversion
programming.
 Programming in conversional programming Language run
from top, down. For lower programming language execution start from the first
line and moves with the flow if the program to different part as needed. A

RELATIONAL DATABASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (RDBMS):

 RELATIONAL DATABASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (RDBMS):

 A relational model represents the database as a collection of relations. Each relation

resembles a table of values or file of records. In formal relational model terminology, a
row is called a tuple, a column header is called an attribute and the table is called a
relation. A relational database consists of a collection of tables, each of which is assigned
a unique name. A row in a tale represents a set of related values.

 RELATIONS, DOMAINS & ATTRIBUTES:

 A table is a relation. The rows in a table are called tuples. A tuple is an ordered set of n
elements. Columns are referred to as attributes. Relationships have been set between
every table in the database. This ensures both Referential and Entity Relationship
Integrity. A domain D is a set of atomic values. A common method of specifying a
domain is to specify a data type from which the data values forming the domain are
drawn. It is also useful to specify a name for the domain to help in interpreting its values.
Every value in a relation is atomic, that is not decomposable.

 Naming Data Objects
 The names should have the following properties:
 Unique,
 Have meaning to the end-user.

FUTURE ENHANCEMENT

 Testing is a process of executing a program with the interest of finding

an error. A good test is one that has high probability of finding the yet
undiscovered error. Testing should systematically uncover different
classes of errors in a minimum amount of time with a minimum amount
of efforts. Two classes of inputs are provided to test the process
 A software configuration that includes a software requirement
specification, a design specification and source code.
 A software configuration that includes a test plan and procedure, any
testing tool and test cases and their expected results.
 Testing is divided into several distinct operations
ADVANTAGES OF THE PROPOSED SYSTEM

 The system is very simple in design and to implement. The system requires very
low system resources and the system will work in almost all configurations. It
has got following features

 Security of data.
 Ensure data accuracy’s.
 Proper control of the higher officials.
 Reduce the damages of the machines.
 Minimize manual data entry.
 Minimum time needed for the various processing.
 Greater efficiency.
 Better service.
 User friendliness and interactive.
 Minimum time required.
Report
Conclusion

 The project has been appreciated by all the users in the organization.

 It is easy to use, since it uses the GUI provided in the user dialog.

 User friendly screens are provided.

 The usage of software increases the efficiency, decreases the effort.

 It has been thoroughly tested and implemented.

LIMITATION
 It is a single user program it can only print out only
by a data report not a direct interface.
 Only administrator can change and edit in a
program
 This project cannot be over writhed.
