• It was developed to provide an occupational test,
which focuses on traits relevant to creative and innovative behavior. • It provides an assessment of personality based on occupationally relevant personality factors. • It is 90 item consists of multiple choice statement (A, B, C, D, E) MPQ can be used in two ways: 1. It used as part of a selection battery for predicting job performance provided that the personality predictors have been established from job analysis and validation research.
2. It used as an enabling tool to help explore

Apprehension BIG FIVE FACTORS • Creativity - Measure personal problem solving nature of individual creativity and social nature of innovation. ▫ Elements: Originality, Rule Nonconformity, Openness, Assertiveness & Independence. • Agreeableness – measure how individuals relate to each other. ▫ Elements: Empathy, Social Confidence, Affiliation, Rationality BIG FIVE FACTORS • Achievement – provides measure of the achievement motivation. ▫ Elements: Perfectionism, Conscientiousness, Competitiveness, Decisiveness and Independence. • Extroversion - measure extroversion in personality. ▫ Elements: Communicativeness, Spontaneity, Affiliation, Social Confidence. • Resilience – measure emotional stability. ▫ Elements: Calmness, Decisiveness and Self- Reliance. ADMINISTRATION OF THE TEST • It a pencil-and-paper test. • Test materials comprise reused questionnaire booklets, answer forms, and normed profile charts. • The questionnaire contains about how the test taker act, think or feel in different situations. • Test taker needs to indicate the extent which each statement applies to them using the rating scare shown on the top of each page of the booklet. • It takes 20 minutes to answer. • Test instructs the test taker to tick() the square which correspond the rating they have chosen. SCORING AND INTERPRETATION • Scoring keys are printed on the bottom of the MPQ 14 answer sheet. • It can be done manually. • It is done in two stages: First, workout STEN Score for the primary personality scales; Second, calculate the Big Five Factors scores using the primary personality STEN score.
