 Viruses ( hepatitis, human papillomavirus)

of cancer?
 Basal cell cancer
 Lung cancer
 Prostate cancer
 Breast Cancer
 Colorectal cancer
 Melanoma
 Leukemia
 lymphoma
How many people are diagnose
with cancer
 U.S- 1 in 8 women diagnosed with breast cancer
 1 in 9 men diagnosed with prostate cancer (usually age 65 or older)
 8 in 10 Americans diagnosed with Basal Cell Cancer
 1 in 16 people diagnosed with lung cancer
 4,570 men and 3,540 women diagnosed with lymphoma
What happens when diagnosed
with cancer?
 Found out what stage its in ( 5 stages in total)
 Doctors will start you on chemotherapy
 Surgery will be done after chemo and tumor will be removed
 Radiation will start
 Once cancer free doctors will give you pills you will either be on for
couple of months or sometimes year
What to do if you are diagnosed?

yes its something scary, at first it will be hard for you and your family but
you have to remember you have a family to support you, you have a
physician who is willing to take you into their hands to help you through
it. Just have faith and hope everything turns out good and stay strong.
