Assalamu Alaikom

Ramadan
The purpose
 O you who believe! Observing the
fasting is prescribed for you as it
was prescribed for those before you,
that you may become Al-Muttaqoon
(the pious)”
(Al-Baqarah 2:183)
The blessed month
 The month of Ramadan in which
was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance
for mankind and clear proofs for
the guidance and the criterion
(between right and wrong).”
(Al-Baqarah 2:185)
Istaqbal-e-Ramzan
 Ramadan is the ninth month of the
Islamic calendar
 Emphasizing during Friday sermons
 Special social programs
 Individual resolutions
 Voluntary fasts
Dua on sighting the

 My Lord and your Lord
is Allah, the Lord of the
worlds. O Allah for us let
this month be a period
of peace, faith, safety
and total submission to
Thy will; make us walk
apace swiftly to that
which Thou likes and

 The pregnant or breast feeding mother

 The whole of the Holy Quran is recited in
this prayer over a period of 27 days.

one’s inner self.
